Dr. Boules has participated in numerous piano competitions, earning recognition for her performances. In 1995, she performed Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata in an adult recital. She won First Place in the 2013 Grandquist Music Competition for her performance of Debussy's Clair de Lune (Concert Level) and Second Place in her age group at the

She won First Place in the 2013 Grandquist Music Competition for her performance of Debussy's Clair de Lune (Concert Level) and Second Place in her age group at the 2014 Illinois Music Association Competition for Rachmaninoff's Humoresque, Op. 10, No. 5.

Dr. Boules earned First Place at the Illinois Music Association Competition in 2015 for her performance of Schubert's Impromptu Op 142 No. 2, and again in 2016 for Lecuona's Malagueña.

In 2026, Dr. Boules earned Third Place at the Illinois Music Association Competition for her performance of Béla Bartók's Allegro Barbaro. A recording of her award-winning performance is available on her YouTube channel.
